There was plenty of wide body growth in that United route announcement, clearly you didn’t look close enough.

2030 use to feel so far away. It’s really just right around the corner now!
Glad to hear though that there’s no big near term drawdown approaching.

There are 2 in each of Spring/Fall, so every standards pilot can attend without taking them all out of action for 2 days, plus travel.

Ha exactly. I remember when I was on the ER and those dang Airbus people were “stealing” our Hawaii flying. Then they announce that the ER has no place in Seattle and we all have to find new homes. So off to fifi, only for the high-ups to discover the shocking revelation that the NEO doesn’t have the performance to do Hawaii in the winter.

Now those dang 757 pilots are stealing our flying.

On the company town hall meeting a few days ago, Delta President Glen Hauenstein made it very clear. He said "We will be out of the 767 by 2028" Then joked about it seeming far away but really around the corner. EVP John Laughter also made jokes about can't wait to cannibalize the fleet for parts. The recorded meeting is still available to watch on Deltanet
