I suspect the company has a bit of buyers remorse and might prefer it does not ratify. A delay will certainly work in their favor and AA or UAL might make it very lucrative to restart the process next fall.

I suspect the mediator put the fear of god in them after EB’d very poorly thought out comments on our release and they panicked and let their checkbook get away from them.

I think they are at best neutral. A delay almost certainly benefits them and the fact they can pull the offer is very advantageous to them.
