FWIW I recently heard the SEA 350 rumor direct from the CPO. Previously it was an LCA rumor. That can only mean one thing…..SEA 717 is about to open! Put your bids in

We held the JFK to NRT slot until 2016. When we cancelled service American took our slot and uses it for HND today.

American took the HND slot we forfeited when we cancelled PDX. We chose to not bid for it last year. The giving up NRT wasn't related to Americans current offering.

I believe this was more tied to "what's the next sim being delivered" vs 350 bases on the west coast. It costs a lot to setup and certify a sim, so I believe they just looked for what was coming that would fit in the next empty sim bay there. It would be a lot cheap than moving a 330 sim to SLC and putting a 350 in ATL.

I see the logic in not moving sims we already have installed. Do we have a A330 sim on order?

I think we possibily do, I'd have to look it up, but I think the A350 sim fit the timeline for delivery when the SLC center was going to be ready to accept sims.

I thought the 320 amd 330 sims at Flight Safety were slated for SLC? Or are y’all talking about yet another one?

I can't speak to the 330 sim, but 320 sim 4 at flight safety will be moved and have the FAA evaluation done by early December.

I did my last recurrent over there, and the DGS instructor told us they were both going. And that they specifically moved them out of the OC’s for that purpose.

Not sure if that’s actually true but that’s what was said…?
