So , the very junior NB A crowd would probably want the ER fleet to hang on a bit longer. If the retirement pace by chance picks up, there could be displacements. Where those mostly senior ER A's go is a mystery right now. Do they bite the bullet and learn French? Do they slide over to 765? Do they slide into the 73N? Who knows??
3 day course for significantly more pay, path of least resistance. Those with more time might be more open to learning French.

VEOP could be an option as well.

IDK. Folks I know in that seat are not ready to hang up their spurs just yet. Not to say it wouldn't be an option. But last VEOP they were expecting 600-800 takings and we had more like 1800. We lost much talent in that group. Lot's of experience walked. Their choice. Of course I did not take the VEOP. Just where I was at in my career, I made better having not gone that route.

Anyway, back to the fleets!

D) All of the above.

The 765 category isn't large enough to absorb a meaningful percentage of the 7ER category. There will be some Boeing die hards who bid 73N, but I bet the majority learn one of three French dialects.

This times 1000x. 3 day course to get to top rate is a no brainer, especially for older pilots near retirement
