Boeijg dumping that partnership was a bad move. Boeing makes a lot of bad moves.

I’ve had a blast on the “Atari Ferrari”. The 757 is a great plane, but everyone knows the future is coming, and it’s coming from France.
But reason 1 above is why we are flying them still. They are bought and paid for.
If Covid hadn’t happened, you’d still see the mad dog on the ramp. Change my mind.

No doubt. I understand they were losing an engine per week at the end. They had already been consolidated to ATL in preparation for it's demise (from MSP, CVG, and NYC) - Covid simply made it a easy/clean kill, instead of bleeding it out over another year or so. No way they the -88 would still be here 4+ years on, IMO

The fact that new hires got the 88 in Oct of 19 (I think that was the last I saw it) and they were still flying like crazy when everything shut down in April of 2020, I don’t think end of 2020 was going to work.

Might have been a year later, but the MD wasn't too long for the world Covid aside. Have no doubt they'd send new hires to it and displace them 6 months later if needed, that said. They were backfilling SEA ER slots until not long before the category was closed.

True. All I’m saying is the MD was supposed to be gone long before it actually was, and it wasn’t going to be the end of 2020 either. Although I highly doubt they would still be here even if Covid hadn’t happened.
