NOT TRUE! The AirBus goes through three different modes and at best will humiliate the pilot who does not undertand the 81 (three possible flight control laws raised to the power of the number of fleet types). GS mini either makes you float off the end, or land short. Then the tail falls off and you get malaria. The Airbus also causes male pattern baldness and erectile dysfunction.

(( Bid closes at 10:00, pull them 350 and 330 bids if you know what is good for ya ))

Based on the count in iCrew, a few pulled their bids last night. I saw a couple added back in five minutes before the window closed. We will know later this week...

You overlooked cancer causing high altitude polar routes and the weight gain from circadian swaps. It has a side stick so pilots can fit that cortisol belly behind the yellow center of an egg.

Hey, in King Henry the VIII's day this look was considered dead sexy.

and here I thought all the crazy stick-against-the-glass pitch nonsense on the 737Max was a bug. Now I'm starting to see it as a feature.

Agree, if you fly it like an airplane it will do cross winds fairly well. The Airbuii are significantly slower to respond to stick input vs Boeing's yoke, so gusting crosses get super sporty. Flying through a computer vs having one stand guard at the edges of an envelope must be the difference.
The Airbus responds very well (and quickly) to small inputs. The roll (rate) input is not linear and can get out of phase with the stability the FBW is trying to provide. Maybe that feels slow. Once you get used to giving it a slight nudge and letting the FBW do the rest the jet can be handled with amazing precision.

As far as the flare goes, look out the window, fly it like an airplane, does just fine. GS Mini and auto thrust can help, or add an unwanted variable. Fortunately, Delta gives pilots the authority to choose. Great to stay in practice with manual thrust and it keeps the scan going.

(J a HO from somebody who took 500 hours on the thing to finally get what the instructor told me on the first sim)

OOfff did you see the 330 fleet newsletter for Oct? Lol. Might wanna tell the standards team over there in your best Val Kilmer/Ice Man: "you're dangerous".

If God could've only designed it 20,000lbs lighter.

Yet every pilot I see on a 321 selects 205kts instead of 210 when assigned by ATC so they can get to flaps 2. I see nowhere mentioning this technique either, cuz well you can't intentionally tell people to violate a clearence in writting. I like it though, just don't tell ATC 😀🫢
Who has 3 altimeters all within 10 feet?

Pg 3 and 4. Lots of work when you can just wait a minute and push to start descent

The point is demonstrating superior FMS programming skills as opposed to actually being functional.
