Holy hell, who cares about having to push ONE button that you don’t in the Boeing??? Is burning those 0.0000069 calories from pushing into the FCU really that exhausting? It’s not like we’re seeing waves of busts and near-misses from people forgetting to start down. And many Boeing pilots opt to hit DES NOW, then EXEC….which does the same thing…and uses (gasp) two button pushes!

I can assure you I meant nothing holy or helish in my comment, just a friendly discussion about airplanes. My point was simply that for an airplane engineered with automation at the forfront its odd that those 2 specific capabilities I mentioned were not chosen. Maybe I sounded "angry" with my "WTF" comment??? Just spit ballin...as I said still love the jet.

They fixed the formula on the Panda for GS mini. It's actually a really nice feature for guys that only get a landing or two a month.
and...
What's a crosswind? I haven't seen one in a year or more. (Another function of 1-2 landings/month)
I also know guys that haven't de-iced in 2 or 3 years.

- Put a crossing restriction -10ft below your crz alt at a fix before your TOD.
- Push Managed Descent [now in ALT Constraint].
Look Ma! Airbus can start down all by itself!

for those spectating, this is very much not approved and actively discouraged by training and standards
