Want to bet that's the only fleet announcement tomorrow?

At this point I'll just be happy if an announcement isn't that we made an investment in EVA Air and they are now in sky team with a JV in order to use all their new A350s.

Why do we keep getting 220s yet say in the AE they're a low utilization fleet? Why not fly the ones we have more and save on capex?

We originally had 50 options. We converted 12 to firm on 3 separate occasions.. we had 14 remaining. These will be the last options. For what it's worth, the previous 12 options were announced at our 2023Q2 earnings call, to not much fanfare either.

My guess is, because there's targets or contractual commitments with Airbus that make these options firm. Keep in mind, these will likely be deliveries in the 2027-28 timeframe. I'm sure they've figured out the cost/benefit on utilization vs fleet replacement

It’s announced.

20 A350-1000s with options for 20 more.

Deliveries to begin in 2026. MRO deal for the engines too.

Is this what the general was saying we'd be very happy about? I mean I'm happy to see the 350 buy, I certainly won't complain about that, but this is alot less than was implied. Maybe they accidentally edited out the paragraph with the details on a 339 buy.

I’m happy. Sure a splashy 100 aircraft order would have made me happier, but the -1000 is a very capable aircraft. This means much more ULH flying, and potentially a new a350 domicile.

This also means that the 767 replacements haven’t been ordered yet giving 787 fans hope.

My goodness. Deliveries start not too far either. 2026. Huge huge movement incoming

Champagne popped

Big shout out to GeneralLee for keeping us in the loop.
