At this point I'll just be happy if an announcement isn't that we made an investment in EVA Air and they are now in sky team with a JV in order to use all their new A350s.

We originally had 50 options. We converted 12 to firm on 3 separate occasions.. we had 14 remaining. These will be the last options. For what it's worth, the previous 12 options were announced at our 2023Q2 earnings call, to not much fanfare either.
My guess is, because there's targets or contractual commitments with Airbus that make these options firm. Keep in mind, these will likely be deliveries in the 2027-28 timeframe. I'm sure they've figured out the cost/benefit on utilization vs fleet replacement

Is this what the general was saying we'd be very happy about? I mean I'm happy to see the 350 buy, I certainly won't complain about that, but this is alot less than was implied. Maybe they accidentally edited out the paragraph with the details on a 339 buy.
