I once flew ATL to STT in a aisle seat. 3 of the largest flight attendant I can recall working coach. They beat my right shoulder nearly numb by the end of the flight. Had I not been a employee I would have written a letter demanding wider aisles or smaller flight attendants. The passenger across from me ask one if she could turn a bit walking by his seat. If looks could kill!

An airplane that was stretched too long.

If it needs a kickstand the load is too far from the fulcrum. Add new big engines further forward and you can make the lever even longer. Then you can solve that problem by secret trim. Then make it longer with a telescopic landing gear. The design will never out live it's useful life because Boeing engineers are clever and Boeing managers are not.

That's the entire history of the company in a single sentence, right there.

Maybe we can order the MC-21.

That is a nice rant, but it doesn't answer the question. If one is on speed (or even a little fast) are tail strikes a problem?

No, flying ref+8 and not chopping (nor sitting on) the power you'd land consistently in the TDZ, at Ref, and with a pitch not much more than 2 degrees. The 900ER spools down quickly so you can bring it all back at 10, and safely land with thrust at idle without the bottom falling out, nor going long. Found most iffy landings were people sitting on power until mains touched, or flying closer to Ref and idling sooner. 800 has a 5 sec spooldown, 900ER (and 800 SFP) are 2. (I think, it's been years since I touched a 73). I found the 737 to be a nice handling plane honestly, handled great in the wind. Curious what the Max10 will be like.

A350 going to 275 seats. Any Panda Gurus able to spitball how it'll help departing JNB?

Lasty, a quote from the CEO of Rolls today:
"There is one deal, which is very important and big," he said. "We've made the deal. It is not announced yet."

This biggest issue I noticed from my 737 days was guys rotating so slowly to protect the tail that they probably invalidated the TO data.

(BTW, how do I get rid of this green "Auto Saved" box when I type on this website? Truly annoying. Mac and Chrome.)
