I agree with sailing about the pax comfort stuff.
but why would we want HUDs? They are an expensive option and really don’t give us much except lowering our takeoff RVR by 200’. But on the planes I’ve flown with HUDs (or a box where the hud used to be) it sure is a target to hit your head on.

I could care less about cost. The bus ain’t an RJ or a 73 - it’s plenty spacious to not hit your noggin. As a guy who has many thousands of landings with a HUD, I’d love to have one again. Having a FPM/VV is very useful. Think we’ll top that cloud deck in cruise? A FPM makes it obvious. And putting the airplane precisely where you want it on landing is a piece of cake, especially in gusty crosswinds. The cross check is way better too, especially SE. Obviously, it’s not required, and thousands of landings without one have gone just fine, but given the choice, I’d take one every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

the galley set up is poor, have FA’s crammed up there, along with pilots and passengers trying to constantly use the lavatory - they have to send passengers to the lav in the back because the layout is so bad. I guess they always bang into stuff too since the galley is layed out so poorly. I just asked them what they think about it, some hate it and some don’t mind. As a pax I thought it was a really bad place to have the lavatory right next to the cockpit door

While you "could" care less about the cost, I can assure you that Delta does. They wanted to remove the taxi cameras from the A350s and when the paperwork costs were factored in they decided to leave them. I personally think they are a really good safety item. I'm surprised the HUDs have remained on the 737s s long as they have.
