I would trade the side stick for the humidifiers, clean air and lower pressurization in a heartbeat. That's before you add in better displays and HUDS.

HUDs have been an option on nearly every Airbus we have, and certainly on the 350, Delta just doesn’t want to pay for them.

I agree with sailing about the pax comfort stuff.

but why would we want HUDs? They are an expensive option and really don’t give us much except lowering our takeoff RVR by 200’. But on the planes I’ve flown with HUDs (or a box where the hud used to be) it sure is a target to hit your head on.

I agree with all this and if you’re tall they offer an excellent place to smash your head.

The worst was the crj900 at endeavor. They didn’t have HUDs installed, but the ceiling panels were all in place to have them. So all the head clearance downside with zero upside.

we had a few like that at skywest too, we bought them used from a carrier that did have HUDs. The “bang head here” box

You don't have to trade the side stick, just bid the 350...

I had an FAA inspector on the jumpseat the other day. He is on the AAL 787 certificate, and the way he described the "humidifiers" tells me you can have them. The way it sounds they are nothing but mold generators
