Assuming these are additive, and replacing 763's, I'm in full agreement with you on this one Trip. The question is when. It add depends on the delivery timeline...

These are additive. We will have a later order in a year or so that will be for the end of decade to start replacing what’s left of the ERs, older 330s etc. We are looking at a rather large fleet strength of around 70 350s.

Like beetlejuice you gotta say it 3 times (over 18 months) for it to come. Eventulally you'll be right.

This sure has been a drawn out order. I’m not privy to all details, but I think it all has been related to RRs recent change over the last year how they handle business (going from making deals to take market share when hurting financially to the opposite now).
Trust me , I don’t want to keep sitting here going .. “Bueller .. bueller…”

Seems like a good time for long term bidding strategy discussion. I think after a 350K order and reasonably near term delivery schedule the 765 starts to go significantly junior. 330->350 (same seat) change is a relatively short stay on VA. Ironically 350->330 Requires a painful full course. Obviously the 765 will require a painful full course to switch to the Airbus WB Fleets. On the brightside an IQ pays 90+ hrs now.
Overall a pilot looking for minimal training days can plan 320B->320A->330A->350A and only have one full IQ in their career unless they upgrade as a low time pilot making it 2 IQs. Things are setting up well for Delta meaning Don't Ever Leave The Airbus.
