You seem to be on a roll today.

Anyhow, I'll try to be more "profound" in my replies from now on, lol.

Lisbon flown out of JFK like the majority of 3 day trips BOS would have has credit. Build rotations for out of base pilots and you can eliminate that credit.

You mean like they did for JFK-LIS for a couple of years with LAX pilots? LOL Even gave those LA pilots 48 hours in Portugal.

Yes, they can have less credit with the domestic legs verses a straight over and back.

That is the truth. Period.

So opening bases and/or not opening bases will always fall under this umbrella.

As a 2020 hiree, is anyone really surprised that "the plan" changed WRT to bases/aircraft?

Does that make management liars? Would you rather have them follow through with announced plans even though it might cost them money?

I'll take "liars" of a solvent company as opposed to dolts who are incapable of evaluating new information and steer the company into being overleveraged/bankruptcy.
They can pivot all they want as far as business plan adjustments during changing environments, but I would appreciate if they would follow through with contracts they signed even though it will cost them money.

Liars? Debatable. Dishonest? Yes.

Although, maybe we need an arbitrator to rule them that as well.

Service to Germany is also in the cards.

Germany is a large financial hub in Europe (2nd largest after England) and there's a certain institution in Utah that has a lot of money.

I've heard both FRA and MUC mentioned. I know part of the agreement with the new terminal is that ICN would be flown by mainline Delta and not Korean, but that's worth nothing right this second.

Until 16L/34R is extended on the north side, there will not be a WB pilot base in SLC.

So SLC woouldn't have built the terminal unless DL agreed to fly ICN??? And if a widebody base hinges on a longer runway, why not just say that instead of hemming and hawing over when and what equipment to base there???

With the speed and diligence they used in building the new terminal, seems like they could extend a runway in about a three day weekend.....

Now if they could just add a tram. Flying as a pax, I recently had a tight connection that went into B6 (west end of the north terminal) to the last gate on the eastern end of the south terminal. That is a LONG walk!

There will be a train tunnel in the main tunnel that isn’t open yet. I’m not sure if they plan on a train until they have some sort of answer if they want a terminal C or not though.
