We fly all of our domestic fleets on short stage lengths and long stage lengths. It’s a domestic airplane. That’s what I was trying to say 20 posts ago about you guys getting so emotionally invested and arguing about networking when this stuff changes literally every month. You’re going to have good neo flying and bad neo flying. It’s all part of the mix. It’s really not worth getting so rattled up over and going after everyone else saying enjoy the days of your trips, those are going to be mine! Nothing is going to drastically change from this year to next and all you’re going to be left with is disappointment that it didn’t change. It’s not worth your energy, not at this airline.

Don’t be like trip. No one wants to be like trip. Lol.

I'll say keep the rumors coming. I snagged a pretty junior ER A spot on the last AE and would love nothing more than for it to go more junior because people think it's the next CRJ-200. So sure yeah, it's only going to be flying to Florida, SAV, BHM, and RDU, perfect as the new junior airplane! Better seniority for everyone on it

Senior ER flying is the best in the system (imo) and junior ER flying is the worst in the system. Just be cautious and careful of what side you are on!

The Mx issues we have on this fleet coincides with the fact we truly do treat this aircraft like a CRJ. This aircraft wasn’t designed for this type of flying yet here we are.. oh well

There is also a marked difference between NYC flying and everywhere else flying -- oops, did I write that out loud?

Don't worry doesn't matter how good the flying is, people still will avoid NYC like the plague.

ATL still has a decent amount of international yearly. With even 50% seniority for half the year you can hold 6 day pure international B line rotations.

I also explore you to view LAX’s flying. 2-3 Tokyo’s a day. Tahiti trips. Lisbon daily out of Boston. 4-6 HNL’s a day.

This would have been true 2 years ago but with the full deployment of our old international schedule and 3 ER bases, they all have pretty diverse and good bid packages. Especially if you are senior.

I am on the west coast and have flown nothing but international since April and the variety in Europe I flew this year I would not even get on the 330. Again - seniority matters. If I was flying as Junior A or Junior B I’d be getting my ass kicked in Atlanta. But with the schedules and seniority the ER gives me right now (and I’m not in NYC) and the continual trip improvements, with no signs of Delta placing a large 330 order to replace this fleet soon, I would be really stupid to give it up imo. And no disrespect to the 330 - I am hoping we order more to replace the ER’s but I drastically changed my view on chasing to be the plug on the 330 when ER flying drastically changed since Covid rebound.

it’s shocking how little people research on bid packages. I will say it’s sad to see SEA330 fall to my number and me not bid it after I’ve wanted it for so long. But logically giving up what is going good right now would be a bonehead move.

Default 757 vs NEO

Just like the "350 won't do what the 777 could do", the NEO does about 96.9% of what the 757 does, and DL Mgmt is OK with that.

Will it do the high/hot/heavy? No...but how much of that capability does DL really need and how often do they need it?

To brutal truth is, when you need a plane to carry approx 200 people from NYC/BOS to MCO so the families can visit Mickey, or to go left coast to NYC/BOS transon, the 321NEO does it using 10K lbs less fuel than than the 757, and fuel expenses are the companies 2nd largest operating expense behind employee salary.
