It's my opinion, nothing more. You don't know me, you've never flown with me. <------ That comment and yours above are both about worth the dust of a termite fart.
From the last few monthly AEs the trend we are seeing is pilots in the seniority range I listed are trending towards the WB positions. Historically that SL percentage has been the buttress of the WB B. I see that migration upticking as the NB schedules continue to get pummeled. See the latest from the FRMT? The company has found another loophole to drive dump trucks thru in our contract. It happens every time. One day you'll finally get it, but you are young and haven't seen enough of it yet, or perhaps still believe management will actually follow the PWA.
Trip makes predictions all the time, usually wrong. So I made one. Not often i do that, but I will maintain that as the NB schedules continue to degrade, especially the 73N as it becomes the new 88, will see movement of the 2000-8000 folks. Yeah we have more NB than WB, however the seniority distribution will see a shift as I have described. NB A continues to go way junior. The senior NB B are there to fly day turns. From what I've seen in the bid backs and wide/reasons reports, unless you are top 10-15 (not percentage) in the NB B you are not seeing any benefits as the rotations continue to be optimized pushing the limits of duty and block.

Have you been following the certification? At all?

I'm in that pool... "So much better"? How? I've done both, and have kept track of days worked and such. In full disclosure, WB B was as a commuter and NB A is living in base. WB B is far less pay, and no fewer days worked. Admittedly, if I was living in base as a WB B, I would probably work a day or maybe 2 less on average (based on my pre-Covid experience). Even then, I'm quite happy where I am as a NB A, thank you very much. The only thing I actually miss about WB life are 1-leg days and the excellent layovers. Not worth it for me, and for many others (not even talking about those who don't do well with the circadian disruption of WB life). Personally, I don't see making a move until I can hold WB A, which I am years from being able to hold as the plug. Even then, I'll have to take a serious look at whether it makes sense for me, my family, and my particular situation.

Where did trips with credit come into play? Dude you are all over the place. Go help granny with her suitcase already. PS - the forward lav is dirty, here's some Lysol wipes, get to it man. Good grief, no wonder we are in the situation we are in we don't need management, we've got pilots like you.

I agree WB B will continue to go (to historic) seniority, especially compared with the aberration that happened during post-Covid era. However, while the "utter degradation of [NB] trips" may be a primary factor for some, I think that's a minority influence. I submit that for the majority who chose WB B, it's more about the solid pay for the excellent WB lifestyle. But it all plays a role, for sure.
