Emirates just ordered 200 A350s with delivery starting
in 2024, I don't care if we order Airbus or Boeing WB aircraft but the longer we wait the longer we wait for delivery slots

Just let it go James. You can only tell them so many times "Don't touch that, its hot". Children only learn when they finally get their little fingers burned. You, I and others; we've lived the lies, we've seen management drive dump trucks thru the holes in our contracts. We restored most of our concessions from bankruptcy contracts before they were potty trained - yet now we're the bad guys. Right. Whatever. Can't wait for their lamentations on softpay, it's gonna be all over these boards in about a year. PS - AMS sucks
The first contract after bankruptcy was 15 years ago. To recover “most of your concessions” would have taken at least 2 more contract cycles, but let’s be generous and say you did it in C12. 11 years ago. Unless all of your new junior coworkers are under 19 years old, you’re being overly dramatic (even by your standards) in your attempt to spew condescension to those who you feel don’t now at your feet.
So sorry you didn’t get the pay raise YOU deserved, and money was spent in an attempt to improve the majority of the list’s QOL. Soft pay all day.

[QUOTE=firstmob;3703039]Yeah. Crazy to think that back in July 2020 they fired (not furloughed, but fired) 800 pilots, and now, just now, are actively recruiting direct entry captains in the Airbus fleet.

I truly hope you never fully understand bankruptcy in our industry. That said soft pay is NOT a cure for the sh!t spewed by the optimizer. Trip construction will never be the same and now you get more money for the sh!t you put up with. Good, but not great or restorative.

No, we sold ourselves short on the rates. You swallowed the pablum from DALPA. I'll say it again, you just lived thru one of the best negotiating environments for pilots ever seen. Doubtful you'll ever see that again. Now back to management. So the whole sky miles fiasco, see? They are stepping on rakes, again. RA built the machine you enjoy. EB is running it into the ground. You'll continue to have your pay stolen, they will continue to blatantly violate the contract. I've seen it all before a thousand times over. But you juniors, you know better. 2 years from know your NB schedules will still be horrendous, they'll be shorting you on pay from work you've given them and you'll clap each other on the back proclaiming how the soft pay was such a good deal. Is it a good deal when you have to go and fight for what you are owed?

The credit is unaffected so you fly as much and the I don't see any real change just a bunch of EDP.
