Why was training and standards lumped into this? All of our issues stem from the ridiculous Displacement followed by the VEOP. That is flight ops leadership from the very top - Laughter. Partnered with this is crew resources, but training and standards were pretty much left holding the bag on this. In fact, it should have been NETWORK getting the no confidence just as much.
This should have been focused on JL and Ed, although maybe they're saving that "nuclear" no confidence for later.

I agree though, it does not really seem like the fault of anyone in training & standards. They only failed because they were set up for failure by flight ops/network
I wish they had named JL and RG in this. ( I know RG is not in the same position as when he made those decisions, but he is still in management after a colossal failure)
i can *maybe* understand holding off on naming EB to keep something for later

The Union sends a powerful, well articulated message to the BOD, Management and customers and instead of showing unity folks are whining about who else should have been named. Pilots are funny

Hopefully there’s a serious discussion happening between your union and the company about what to do to prevent that from happening. Don’t want to end up like the APA pilots who woke up asking each other, “Is this a joke?”

Remember when they had the idea to cut 25% of instructors during the busiest training time in the history of the airline? Pepperidge farm remembers

like if I were given an ice cream sundae and thought to myself “the only thinking that would make this better is if it has sprinkles” that does not mean I am any less thrilled I got the sundae, but if it were up to me I would have added sprinkles.
either way, I am very glad APLA did this and even more glad that they will be actively supporting our FAs in getting AFA representation

Delta has a long history of negotiating our contracts in the media. Think of it, especially those of you that live in ATL. How many of your neighbors (that’s non-pilot neighbors for those in PTC) have their pay and work rules broadcasted for all to see and hear? And then you oh so helpful neighbors feel the need to comment on YOUR compensation.
It’s high time ALPA fought fire with fire. I’m glad to see it.

1. The metal is moving.
2. The reliability and timeliness is on par with peers.
3. Thousands are lined up to trade anniversaries, kids events, other quality family time and holidays for GS.
4. Hundreds of others have signed up to dump the entirety of raising their kids upon a spouse or other family members so they can brag about being a 2 year A to their flight college classmates at other carriers.
5. We have orders for a lot of WB, that are not quite here yet, and everyone is convinced there is they are coming no matter what.
6. We have only voted no once in 90 years and most of those took the VEOP.
7. We have an MEC chair who spends the first five minutes of a podcast talking about customer service.
No, I don't think management gives two craps... we are managed.
