Once again, do you data to support a no show issue? That’s different than sick calls.

Unfortunately, i think PS could have some negative repercussions. Example; there is an airpark in the FL keys where I’d like to live. If I could PS to/fro…I’d consider it. I’m sure others would as well…how many PS employees is tolerable, especially out of airports with limited seats?

I hope we do get PS, hopefully the NC can get creative…limit the amount of seats, etc.

Its a cost item like everything else. We can retain it as in the LOA but it’s going to be expensive. The contract surveys should be used to determine what priority we place on it. I looked at a non rev flight recently and there were 18 PSUPs. That dents revenue.

I would regularly see that many PSUPs out of my home airport to ATL prior to COVID and the LOA. I could never figure it out.

If that flight pushed back with a single empty seat, revenue wasn't touched, regardless of the number of PSUPs. And the majority of PSUPs I see are DHs.

We could always extend the 737 one more time to restore revenue.

Exactly. If 2-3 PS commuters (18 is an extreme example, if real) per flight is costing Delta that much money then I’d say we need to be flying bigger aircraft to these places or up the frequency. I’m sure military retirement hot spots like Pensacola have seen a revenue hit from a higher number of PSCs, but places like where I commute from only have 1-3 max per day.

To flip the script where I live Delta hasn’t even come back to their pre Covid flight frequency—let alone equipment. In fact there are probably 150+ less seats available a day than there were pre-Covid. We haven’t brought mainline back with the exception of one flight per day to the plantation, and we have either 76 seat RJs and mostly 50 seat RJs.

Everything is oversold out of my city, and a 50 seat RJ the main cabin isn’t even usable, let alone the Jumpseat. My last trip to work, it was restricted to 42 people due to an alternate and a line check in the front. PSUP on that would be the bulkhead, and if there is a revenue pax that gets that seat, then a NRPS just stays on the list as a PSUP. Nothing lost for Delta.
