PWA: 2 flights required, must depart at least 2 hours apart, any airline can be used for either flight

FOM, 2 flights required, 2nd one must be on DL, if you don’t make first one call CS and they can (but don’t have to) get you a PS ticket on your 2nd attempt.

i would like to see our PWA commuter policy improved or make our FOM policy contractual.
The requirement to having 2 flights 2 hours apart is silly. If you live somewhere like CLT which has almost hourly service to ATL that can mean having 2 additional flights between the 2-3 you're using as your primary and your backup since there's also AA on that route.

No one disagrees that it is silly. It's absurd. Literally all you should need is enough time to get to your next flight before boarding if a backup should be required. I think of your primary gets in an hour before scheduled show, you shouldn't even need a back up especially if you have a JS reserved.

Do you guys argue with the FAs at work too? This is absurd that everyone wants to engage with this person constantly. Stop doing it. Just ignore him. Who really cares what this self appointed expert on all things delta, pilot, and labor thinks. He obviously has some sort of inferiority complex that he spends every day arguing with pilots. Probably brags to his FA buddies in the back how he tells those greedy god complex pilots off every day.

Just do what I do, laugh and scroll by. Stop feeding the troll.

Oh and also, stop negotiating in public!

PWA additions: they have all options to include DH no pay to meet your rotation, have you rejoin your rotation when it transits base with no rotation guarantee or drop without pay.

FOM corrections: as long as there is a flight that gets in before your show(IOW complied with the policy), the company MUST PS you to work. They do not have the option of dropping your trip
thanks for the correction, I thought I read they do not have to PS you, but I guess I was wrong.

What's absurd is someone thinking they're better than someone else simply because their paycheck is bigger. Luckily it's only a small minority of pilots that have this kind of attitude towards the rest of their coworkers in other departments. It's sad that this is how you feel about your coworkers. Is this your attitude just towards measly flight attendants or is it gate agents, mechanics, rampers etc? Just curious.

I’m sure he’s incredibly imperious to everyone he runs across, not just FAs. Nobody is safe from the ire of the colonel, not gate agents, not flight attendants, not new hires, nobody! All must bow down and respect his authoritah

I wonder if all his stories start with "back when I was a commander" and end with him single-handedly solving a crisis by giving orders.

He’s also too superior to take off his hat to show solidarity with the rest of his pilot group. This doesn’t surprise me.

That would be a FOM violation....which leads me to believe he definitely has AF (prolly USAFA to boot) stank all over him. Certainly doesn't smell like USN . Maybe even combined with CPO.

Nick....Am I getting close on your bona fides?
