Answered in early posts and a few weeks ago. Latest town hall also discusses it.

Even pre-covid when the 2 flight requirement existed, scheds had the ability to, and did, put entire RAL's on SC. We are talking zero trips in open time, not a cloud east of the Mississippi River, and the entire RAL would be on SC. And this was during the time when we went 200+ days without a cancellations....reliabilty was out the yazoo...the entire airline could have commuted with a planned arrival at their base 1 hour prior and there was a 99.99% chance that not only would you get there on that flight, but you were going to be 15 early.

The problem isn't the policy, it's the airlines inability to actually fly their published schedule.

We see it and understand it. How some (one) cannot is just tiring.

Reserve call out is completely irrelevant to. Commuting policy.

I just think 2 flights 2 hours apart is a higher burden that needs to be in place.
Can you share the differences between the PWA commuter policy and the FOM policy? I wasn't aware you had 2 different ones.

both require you consider loads, weather, and other factors in addition to the below requirements.

PWA: 2 flights required, must depart at least 2 hours apart, any airline can be used for either flight

FOM, 2 flights required, 2nd one must be on DL, if you don’t make first one call CS and they can (but don’t have to) get you a PS ticket on your 2nd attempt.

i would like to see our PWA commuter policy improved or make our FOM policy contractual.

This isn't correct.

PWA additions: they have all options to include DH no pay to meet your rotation, have you rejoin your rotation when it transits base with no rotation guarantee or drop without pay.

FOM corrections: as long as there is a flight that gets in before your show(IOW complied with the policy), the company MUST PS you to work. They do not have the option of dropping your trip
