Ah yes, I see that now. Deleted to avoid further confusion.

Oh I remember that well. And you are probably right about the credit. I guess we must have been getting those downtown Manhattan hotels for nothing too, because that certainly didn't seem to enter into the equation of the LAX boys flying to Portugal.

Can’t recall the last time I saw NYC 330 rotations go to Asia, but I see every other bases’ 330/ER flying to Europe from NY.

I learned that hotel costs mean nothing to Delta years ago when I ran into an ATL crew laying over in BRU. We were on a 6 day: JFK/BRU/ATL/BRU/JFK. They were also on a 6 day: ATL/BRU/JFK/BRU/ATL. Yep, 6 hotel rooms in downtown NYC and ATL.

Because ... reasons.

765 does that to this day. ATL MAD JFK MAD ATL, and JFK MAD ATL MAD JFK. Then they have too many six days trips, half the category gets forced to reserve and there’s 3 pages of unassigned trips…

I wonder if that is a function of keeping the ALV between bases the same. With only a handful of trips it would not surprise me if there was another reason like that why they do that.

Perhaps, but they’re going to end up with a bunch of those trips chopped to 4 days to fit the reserves schedule. Seems impractical to me but what do I know, I just read the reports.

Nope. Never stated I was at Delta for 15 years.

It doesn't help that there aren't daily flights from any base to anywhere in Asia right now and we now only go to two airports. And also the 330 wasn't doing a ton of Asia anyway before Covid. It was all on the ER.

Default International Positive Space Commute

I know this has been asked and answered, but I could not find it. Just want to make sure I follow the rules.

Is it OK to book positive space commute to an international location that is not your home if it is done to go to and from work?

Thanks in advance.
