“In Command” is gone, but maybe the DCLC thing?

I think his point was that all first-time CA's are supposed to go to the class (whatever it is currently called), and he's never gone. Fell through the cracks.

Lucky him! I'd keep quiet about it so they don't make him go 😂

After some kind of fighter pilot thing in San Diego a week or so ago a couple of friends show up for the JS. One a jet blue pilot is properly dressed and presents his credentials professionally. The AAmerican pilot shows up with full on bro attitude, faded jeans white Chuck Taylor style shoes, or maybe boat sneakers and a T Shirt and says "I'm riding your jumpseat." Decided this wasn't the hill I was going to die on and he is obviously traveling with his buddy. I have to ask him for his credentials and at this point I am getting concerned that this ******* is not a pilot. All of his stuff checks out. I tell him, "AAmerican would not allow us to jumpseat wearing jeans." He argues and says he is dressed fine for jumpseating. I say, no, you need to be business casual."

The entitlement mentality and lack of respect was stunning.

I actually regret NOT denying this guy a jumpseat. I bookmarked the FOM section requiring business casual. I will not repeat my mistake.

PB came into ours and yelled at all of us for wearing our green "fatigued and undervalued" contract lanyards

Yeah, i think we agree that you should have denied the JS. But the fault isn't with you, that's for sure. NO jumpseater nationwide should be surprised if they show up in jeans, a t shirt and workout shoes, and then get denied the JS. 100% on the entitled pilot and zero percent you. I had a captain tell me a similar story. He denied the guy the JS, and his words were perfect. "I don't like being a d---, but you are making me be one by blatantly violating the rules."
