Huh? UA just announced SFO-Brisbane. They also serve SYD from LAX/SFO/IAH , and Melbourne from LAX/SFO. Not to mention UA also does Auckland, NZ & Tahiti to SFO to further round out the S. Pacific. We do LAX-SYD 10x wkly. Look out UA.

Yes we added 3 weekly flights and that's cool. But VAus was doing far more than we were prior to "lockdown" and our potential over-emphasis on "global scope" will allow our next WB partner there to take those 3 extra flights back and get all the subsequent growth and it'll be "balanced" by whatever other growth the company was planning elsewhere anyway.
Exactly, that was my point. I’m an Aussie, so somewhat biased

We had a perfect excuse to expand but UAL seems to be doing pretty good in our absence. November 16th 2022.

IAH-SYD
LAX-SYD
SFO-SYD

LAX-MEL
SFO-MEL

SFO-BNE

What the heck, it’s close enough…

WB international is just too tiring…. Give me a 0330 wake-up for a 3 leg day last day of a 13 leg 4 day out of a TLH ****box with a sticky carpet and a noisy wall unit AC any day.

I was just trying to get the Trip7 spin machine fired up but you are spot on. Sadly, you nailed it with the “global scope” assessment.

I wasn't clear in what I meant by sniping, I'm talking a bid like the one below. In this case, as long as you get in the LCW with these three pairings, PBS will not (can not) continue to try and put trips on your line to get you above the threshold. It will not deny you a line just to get you above the threshold. The bid works best for senior pilots, but I think the poster said he was top 25%, so it's certainly an option.

1. Award pairing #1111 departing on 1Jul
2. Award pairing #2222 departing on 12Jul
3. Award pairing #3333 departing on 20Jul

Pro tip: don’t let this type of bid be your last bid group unless you’re bidding #1! The system generated “award pairings” when one of those three trips isn’t available would sting pretty bad.

It won't allow start next in your last bid group

True story. Most people that do this will do multiple iterations of this, before moving on to another tactic. I've seen some who nearly use all 200 lines of code doing it. As mentioned above, if you want to see some good examples, find a former NWA heavy category. I'm guessing MSP320A is a safe bet.

It certainly will...go try it. Gotta be careful with that instruction.
