So I guess you can lump those two together in the garbage heap.

not saying other councils walk on water, but 44 and 20 reps are a special breed of absurd.

not one of them deserves to be elected to any position in ALPA after that.
While I agree, the silliness coming out of other councils has had some peak moments (LAX demanding Europe flying while saying all Hawaii flying is theirs and the C66 recall after the last MEC election for example) and there is a council out there that I think just loves to be anti everything. Sometimes you need to answer the phone just to see what the other side has to say, which from what I’m going told is all that is happening with this new “LOA” everyone wants to be upset about. The MEC is just listening to what the company has to say.
Just seems like people in certain councils live to throw stones just because things don’t go the way they think they should (no I’m an not arguing for the batch size give away, as I’ve said, that was a huge mistake). But I shouldn’t be surprised, that’s just the way things are these days across society.
And after talking to my reps, I still have concerns about SK. I have to consider the source, but it’s not the pure black and white some make it out to be.

DH, laughed, said "I don't care, send them over." When SK refused, he was fired. #Fact

If you don't belive me, I encourage you to ask him personally.

SK isn't afraid to call a spade a spade. Apparently that's "not working well with others". When fools get called out, they tend to lash out. (Not saying that's you). It's about time C44 had a Rep like that. SK is a good dude, and one of very few demonstarted pilot advocates. All those Scheduling Alerts over the last 5 years? That's all SK spreading the knowlege.
my inside sources say there's more history there than you appear to be aware of. That's ok.

I'm sure your inside sources also mentioned how the C44 chairman was fired from the scheduling committee when SK was the vice chairman when it was discovered he was rampantly abusing FPL There's no way that had anything to do with it. If there is anything we know about the C44 chairman is that he isn't vindictive or a liar.

Default Old bid packs

I searched but can't find the answer.

How can we get copies of old bid packs no longer available on DeltaNet? I need to address a RRPY issue.

I tried selecting a month and changing the title in the web address, but no luck.

ALT July 717 if it matters. Thanks

I don't converse with the 44 reps so I don't know. The policy manual excerpt below appears to show that a lone LEC rep or a MEC officer can't single-handedly remove a committee chair. happy to be proven wrong if this isn't the case.

8. Disposition of Committees or Committee Members

c. Any committee member may be removed from their position at any time, with or without cause, by a majority vote of the MEC.

Just an idea for future reference, I open bid packets and wides in my phone every month. They're automatically saved in my downloads folder. Nice to have for things like this. A buddy had to use a wide once to prove he was NOT scheduled for LC on a day scheduling screwed up pulling off PB days. Crazy.

oh I don’t think other councils don’t have crap or it doesn’t stink, but the buffoonery currently coming out of 20 and 44 is beyond that of other council reps IMO

i was in 66 when the whole recall of MC went down. It was a petty personal vendetta presumably supported by TK, the outgoing chair. With that said the council showed up to the recall vote as squashed it roughly 5-1 (it’s been a while but IIRC that vote was about 120-30) TK is no longer the chair.

i personally have no problem with ALPA meeting with the company for LOAs. Leverage is only good if you use it and there is plenty of quids we could look at getting depending on what the company wants. BUT i don’t trust this MEC to deliver a LOA that would be an acceptable change and given how the batch size giveaway went and then changing definitions to circumvent the 2/3 requirement for a pay raise, I also don’t trust them to not do another “grievance settlement” to bypass the will of the membership to give away more parts of our PWA for nothing of value.

the mec chairman can absolutley remove any committee member he wants at any time. Or committee chair too for that matter. The reference you cite just gives the MEC a chance to override the MEC chairman's abilitly to hire/fire.

So if a rep has wormed his way into the good graces of the chairman, and convinces the chairman to fire a volunteer, then the volunteer is fired. DH/DA seem to have played that game more than once.
