The rumor is that ALPA initiated contact with the company regarding the IROP and ways to help the company recover faster. In my opinion the PWA should stand as is, no IROP relief required. In fact there were already mechanisms in the PWA that would have helped the IROP the company *refused* to use. Think VAS or the short call rotations.

I don’t want it to go to memrat. I don’t support a IROP LOA but I elect representatives for a reason. I do not support letting the memrat cat out of the bag for every little thing that happens.

Can someone explain to me why Labor Day, for a union pilot group no less, isn't eligible for "Holiday Pay"?
(other than, "We didn't negotiate it")
Plenty of prohibitions on dropping trips for LD though.
There's literally no other holiday I'd rank above this one for HP at a union shop for extra pay.
Grumble grumble grumble.

They’re more concerned about management’s opinion of them than they are their constituents, the pilot group. As long as management is happy, they’re happy. These clowns couldn’t be replaced any faster.

It’s pathetic that the MEC is once again afraid to communicate to the membership that such talks are being conducted. They should be actively soliciting member input — BEFORE engaging in such discussions. This is the same way they handled the batch size giveaway. Keep everything under wraps until the damage is already done.

No LOA is too small to go to MEMRAT. They’re infrequent and impactful enough that we should absolutely have a say over each one.
