I like the thought process but the terminology is off. Apparantly the proper DALPA speak refers to rotaions "Soaking" in open time, because sitting through PCS runs is obviously too easy to understand.

Preach! I’ve flown my share of choice trips on reserve that I know would have been snatched up if it only had a chance.

Yep. Nothing better to work on at this point. The way I read the memo was that nothing has changed.

We had a hard enough time getting paid parental leave at one of the lowest rates for a fortune 500 company and there were a few pilots who were mad we even negotiated for it.
FWIW - they fired my ass for taking FMLA... but HR never told Flight Operations, ... so I kept flying.

So apparently the NYC CPO is beginning a commuter harassment campaign and telling pilots they are being placed on a commuter tracking lists if they are a commuter and their first flight in the trip is delayed regardless if it's caused by a commute or not.

As a reminder, never speak to a company rep about anything like this without a union rep present

This is where BS has failed to impress as VP of Flight Ops. He’s had 6 months to change the culture of the CPO set by his predecessor. So far he’s done nothing.

We need to establish an industry leading commuter clause in our next contract.
