Pilot in $900 shoes with no grip ending up on their back in 10-degree weather after slipping on ice. Also not a pilot, but there was a horrific incident caught on video of a wingwalker with wands clearly lit and up being struck by a tug and violently thrown across the ramp. Thankfully the ramper survived but with severe injuries. 717 crew waiting to park witnessed the entire event. Be careful out there, folks.
Was pulling into the ATL a few weeks ago. E gates, I think it was like E11, anyway, from our right to left was a baggage tug hauling *** with 4 baggage carts in tow. FOs called it out saying "hey, I don't think that guy to our right is going to stop" (wing walkers were posted). I stopped. Upon further examination, the driver of the tug was heads down, phone in right hand tapping away while driving on the ramp at a pretty high speed (for a tug).

I agree. It’s an insult and these accommodations are an outlier in the major airline sector.

flight ops does not care at all. Literally zero. They will do nothing. That Jason Zazwisky guy will just laugh at your fcr while he binges on Cheetos.

meanwhile the FAs are living large at the embassy suites. No black mold there.

way to personally attack someone who has been given an impossible job and, in my personal interactions with him, genuinely cares. He can only do so much, and I don’t blame him.

according to JZ the maximum amount of meals due on a transoceanic segment (to Europe, for example) is one, essentially, “per the PWA.”

but when I read the 5.C.1.a through c
I see the phrase “at least” in each instance. JZ strenuously advocating that “at least” equates to “no more than” tells me all I need to know about him. Carrying the company’s water at the very least.

I’ll second. JZ is terrible.

JZ is everything wrong with the company embodied in a single human. Example: as the uniform rollout dumpster fire was raging, people asked him how it could be this bad. He responded that his team worked so hard at this and worked a lot of long days leading up to it. Many, he said, basically didn't get to see their families for a week! The horror! He said this, with a straight face, to pilots

also, many of the problems with the uniform rollout had been brought to their attention by the wear testers. But in true delta fashion the answer they wanted to “isn’t this great” was “yes!” and nothing else, like quality feedback.

think about how the droopy button got missed. No wear tester would have missed that. And the solution was for the pilots to fix it. Maybe they would have adding a sewing module to QCQ.

Dude is not our friend.

and he can do quite a lot, it turns out…and most of it is screwing us over while claiming to be helping us. Great if you had a “good experience.” But the pilot group in general suffers daily from his decisions. Then when he does what he’s supposed to, what WE NEGOTIATED, he takes a bow.

needs to be removed from flight ops yesterday.
