Wayyy too early to worry about this. I've had it assigned 2-3 weeks out but that was when we were hirning like crazy. These days, I've had it well under a week, even 2 days out a few times. So, prepare to wait. Even if it's put on one of your trips, it can always be removed up to the day it reports. IOW, it's like aircraft orders...don't believe it until you're sitting in a new jet with the release signed or in this case until you've been released by CS. Until then, anything can happen.

August PCS runs haven’t even started yet. Most fleets wait until the 25th or so before they start placing OE on next month’s trips, to allow LCPs time to swap / drop.

Thanks for the clarification

If we can report 30 minutes prior during an IROP, why not always report 30 minutes prior?
you see this quite a bit in the summer with already short layovers. You get in and they'll just adjust your report time, keeping the departure time on time. Happened to us in DEN where our report time was 11 minutes prior to departure. Nope, not going out on time.

I’ll even go as far as giving my crew and myself10 hours behind the door every single time. I’ve gotten some pushback lately, but it will never stop me.

Not directed at you, but it seems like we’ve got a contingent of pilots that are afraid of facing pushback for anything. Which makes no sense because operationally we are practically untouchable. If we don’t want to go due to fitness, fatigue, safety, fuel, etc, no one can force us to go and there are no job ramifications for holding our ground.

PWA violation right there.

Basically my rule, 10 hours at the hotel. Nothing less.

I've honestly never gotten pushback. I call CT and make sure everyone -- FA's, gate, pax -- is on the same page. I don't like showing up to a fully boarded airplane with the gate agent standing in the cockpit door.

That’s usually because an overzealous OCC never bothers to post a delay, thinking that the pilots will show up at their new report time and “complete the mission” by getting the flight out at the original departure time.

I make it clear to crew tracking that I won’t waive the 1 hour prior report, and that a delay should be posted reflecting the new departure time. That stops the agent from boarding too early, and potentially allows for reaccommodating passengers whose connections may be at risk.
