Trying to drop two 4day trips with three day IVD. Placed IVD days on the last day of first trip and first day of second trip. Both should have enough reserve coverage for IVD. Second trip is carryout. Get error saying "dropped days exceed limit or are not".... on the status page after PCS.

Is there a problem Houston?

TIA....

Does the carryout trip touch the 4th of July holiday? Maybe that's the reason.

That will require two separate IVD drops. A single IVD (of any length) can be used to drop a single trip (of any length), or multiple trips of up to the number of IVD days used total (must be consecutive).

§23.I.11.e.

Thanks
It's hard to say for sure but I think the trips are better, or at least the days usually seem more balanced, i.e. three 8 hour duty days instead of two 5 hour days with a 12 in the middle. BUT we still have plenty of long days and we still have plenty of the unbalanced trips so they certainly haven't disappeared. Someone probably has real data on this but not me.

As far as pay I'm seeing anywhere from less than an hour (good, no long days) to some months 6-8 hours (good, extra pay). Also, keep in mind that includes our SIT pay and if you have a delay the EDP really helps. It's no longer 'free' for you to do a rolling delay out to a 12 hour duty day so that's a big improvement. All in all, highly recommended.

EDP and L.4 reroute pay are two of the best additions to the PWA this last contract.

I agree. Better clarity for reroute pay and EDP on the longer days has been really good so far. I'll add that the sit pay has not eliminated long sits, but there are far less of them than there were previously IMO.

Agreed! Even the WB has benefitted from the RR pay sections even though the EDP/Sit don't apply to ocean-crossing trips. Having RR pay "trigger" without necessarily returning +4/+25 hours late is huge.

Didn't we swap that with a partner for SEA-AMS (quite a few years back)? We getting that back?

There is no production balance anymore with routes to JV territories. Our JVs can continue to takeover our routes we fly today. So long as we move the WB they displace somewhere in Europe, SA, Asia/Oceania or Hawaii. I would expect a smaller share of DL metal flying within JV routes going forward.
