LGA and treat should not be used in the same sentence. Ever.

Does look nice though.

Delta says we are now required to wear a seatbelt on the employee buses from Camp Creek. No way I'm wearing a seat belt on there when the rampers are using the belts when they are covered in sweat, gas, oil, and dirt..So is Delta providing the pilots and flight attendants our own bus?

Best part of commuting was NEVER having to ride those grimy busses again.
If the layover transportation is full I always ask my crew if they have access to a seatbelt. 3 times I’ve pulled the crew out of a van when they didn’t. Trust me, if you get in a wreck in the van you want to have a seatbelt on.

They said the same thing in DTW last year, though I haven't rode a bus in a bit, I have yet to see anyone wear a belt. Not necessarily a good idea should there be a wreck, but it's what I was seeing.

Ever since the bus started smelling like everyone was hotboxing, I started parking in long term parking at DTW. Easily cuts 15 minutes off my commute each way and I don't "get" to listen to the airport fast food worker on the phone, YELLING at her man about how "she's gonna F him up if he don't shut his mouth!" As an added bonus, I don't get nearly side-swiped by the idiots tearing out of the lot like they're running a qualifying round for the Indy 500.

edit: just found the reference that says a reserve pilot will be awarded a same day GS regardless of what is on their schedule…someone help me if I’m missing something.
please post your findings…I’m curious. My guess is since reserve trips are already covered you’re off the callout…but I have no reference. It makes sense though, at some point the reserve coverage has to be solid…or every GS would undo coverage.

keep in mind, and you might know this, there is often little advantage to GS’g on a reserve day. Some niche situations can apply - but most pilots learn the hard way it’s not lucrative…especially if day 1 is a low BL day. Lastly, scheduling will likely not pay you correctly…so watch your timecard.

You know, safety would be enhanced if mandatory safety vest wearing while walking from your car to the bus was enforced.

Also: in the terminals. Seriously. Those electric carts are everywhere.

sounds like your GS numbers are from May…and today is the June bid period. QC that to see who should have been given the GS?
