Is your request still in? Staff Traveler only shows the 50 closest departures from the current time, so very few times will a request for several days out get filled quickly. Also, Delta does not allow the sharing of load information so most people here will not publicly provide loads.

I agree completely. You don't have to be a Boy Scout, but you don't have to be a jerk either. It doesn't take too much to inform Crew Scheduling you're expired and waiting for recurrency training.

remember gentlemen, there can be 2 truths.
1. There are sick abusers aplenty
2. management should not be able to harass us for using our pwa defined sick leave
at no time has fangs alluded to acquiescing to company demands
chill winston

So who gets to decide whom is "abusing" sick leave?
I can tell you right now, if you let the company decide, you won't like the answer. Because they are looking for new "big data" ways to find "abusers" all the time.
Get sick right before or after vacation? You're an "abuser." Get sick after getting assigned a rotation or short call two days ahead of your actual report? "Abuser."
And God forbid you get sick on the same week next year that you called in this year. "Abuser!"
It's absolutely pathetic that we've got folks here who claim there are "abusers..." but offer zero proof, zero definition, and display zero hint of a unionsist mindset. In a previous life, we used to call guys like this "buddy ****ers."

I’d call the abusers the pilots who constantly use 270 hours per year 4 days at a time without any major illness knocking them out for a month. They do this every single year. That’s my opinion. The true abusers are turning in doctor’s note for every sick call anyway so the GFB calls and verification does absolutely nothing to curb true abusers. It just annoys the rest of us honest people.
