I will also add, UA and AA have very different sick systems. I’d bet if we were to go from 240-270 hours of sick annually, to a mere 60-70 with “rollover” the squealing would be deafening, and there would not be enough pitchforks and torches for the reps who pushed/allowed it.
This is APC where one demands 240-270 hours sick annually and also demand it be accruable with rollover, and can be used as PTO and cashed out in full at retirement.
What's wrong with you and that management shill Sailing?
You guys are the line pilots worst enemy!

Lol, I have zero, ZERO desire or interest in management. But I take your dismissive snub nonetheless. Lol.
You (among others) are missing and misconstruing my point. Which is that I’m not talking about management’s response (which I agree is over done and heavy handed), rather what I DID talk about is that there absolutely is obvious and statistically provable abuse going on by some pilots, just like the teachers who cheated on standardized tests, or sumo wrestlers who colluded on matches in Freakonomics. Writ large, it’s indisputable and obvious.
Maybe I'm a poor communicator, but I don’t get why that’s so hard to grasp.

I consider it my trolling vendetta, looking to hook the humor/logic stunted types.
It's almost as easy as fishing with dynamite and hand grenades! ;>
edit...that didn't take long...

Folks who have a brush with disability should thank heavens for our system. It provides two additional full pay months annually over what AA or UA provide. And, those who are in the gap between our systems, who don’t go on disability, also don’t lose profit sharing, vacation accrual, or the ability to bid your last week in as a stand alone.

Me too. The fact is, we have more zero verification sick annually than AA or UA does combined.

Please point me to where in the PWA I need to look. Don't aim at the vacation section, because A) vacation is not the same thing, and B) it doesn't pay you the value of the trip.

We earn vacation by week, we also bid for them in week increments. If you have an event (like spending any amount of time on LTD, even a day) that causes DL to pro rate your vacation, you will no longer have a full week. If this happens you will not be able to bid for that week individually.
example. You have been here 7 years and have 3 weeks vacation. You break your leg and have to go on LTD for a few weeks. Because of this you lose 1 vacation day for the following year. For Your next year’s vacation instead of biding for 3 weeks vacation you will only be able to bid for 2 and have the remaining days added to one of your other vacation weeks.
