You continually leave out facts in your perspective like, EVERY OTHER EMPLOYEE of the company is OFF or INCENTIVISED TO WORK on 10 holidays a year. Yet pilots are forbidden from even requesting those days and several days surrounding them off.
We know how managers tasked to manage costs and productivity for ANY company view things, the push back is the consequence. Yet, you refuse to point out the flawed management perspective, double standards, and unwarranted punitive actions. You are consistently one side and defend impropriety and ineptitude.
And yes, shill is an apt term to describe what you do here.

I had a guy on the Jumpseat when C15 TA1 was out for a vote, who was the ALPA guy tracking sick. He had a graph of the entire year on the X axis, and Italy sick days on the Y axis. There were notable blips on every single holiday, Super Bowl Sunday, Valentine’s Day, etc. and every single spike on the graph was some holiday or other day commonly requested off. It was in black and white that around those dates, there was statistically significant abuse going on. The Takeaway I had was that the company had a point. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy, and we have to wear diapers because a few abusers crapped their pants.
I wish we had voluntary verification back, but until we do, we have to sleep in the bed other pilots have made for us.

I'd be very, very careful quoting any of that. Those guys took management at their 100% word, and my bet is once you started picking apart the data, there were all kinds of BS assumptions to make it look like the way it did. You can make all the pretty graphs you want, but if the underlying data is fudged, you get bad math. So they can "claim" abuse, that didn't mean there was any going on.

That’s the kind of nonsense that only drives sick call numbers up. Rather than waiting until the night before / morning of the trip to see if the illness goes away, more pilots will simply bang out sick early to avoid the hassle.
Similarly, once a sick call is GFB’ed by the company, that entire sick call is considered verified regardless of how long the pilot stays out sick. In that sense, GFB incentivizes many pilots to use MORE sick hours, not less.

You know I'm right. You are just senior enough to not have to deal with it. They have the right of refusal and set the PCS process to do exactly that. I'm all for working on holidays so long as we are compensated like other employees. We are half way there, 5 more holidays to go.
