I was just thinking something that doesn't likely identify who you are, especially if you are looking for alternative ways to not fly your award where people are going to suggest pre planning fatigue and other calls.

For contractual methods, you can look for trips that put you closer to the minimum gap, or rest if you have a 30 hr layover that is needed, limits and hope you run late enough to get past the buffer to make yourself illegal.

Thanks, good point. I was trying to be ambiguous but should probably be more so. And I'm certainly not planing to call in fatigued or do anything else outside of contractual provisions. Obviously you can't know if you're fatigued ahead of time, so I will just have to make that decision when I get there. And hopefully I'll be able to swap or drop it and not even get to that point.

Idk I always flag days where I see fatigue being an issue. That way I can make a solid decision while not fatigued that it may be a problem that day then when said day comes I'm more hyper aware of it. It only seems like the safe thing to do these day where the only thing stopping the operation is the pilot because the company will fly you into a violation/fatigue situation or worse yet with out pause. The company doesn't watch out for me and I know it, so I watch out for myself.

I love the fact that we are getting "street cred" for flying a new airplane that EVERYONE else has been flying for years.

Travel blogs have to get views and free rides somehow. Every single thing that happens is either amazing or the worst thing ever.

Did management write the SPSC’s email today?

Our contract is long overdue, and it’s time for Delta pilots to show the company we are serious about improving our industry-leading contract.”

…da-Fxxx??? Who said our contract is industry-leading? Sure everyone has some good and bad but many of my QOL metrics are pretty darn middle of the pack and a few are clearly trailing. I guess this is what tough talk looks like if you’re scared of coming across as disagreeable. GMAFB.

Are there any creative ways out of that? Like swapping into a different trip that finishes later to conflict out the later trip or something (not allowed I'm sure)? I'm grasping at straws here I know.
You can always ACARS CT after TOC on your last leg and ask to be rerouted into more flying. I think that would be a CT wet dream, but it could work since ‘crew tracking doesn’t see our schedules’ or at least that’s what I’m told when I’m rerouted into a **.
