No truth at all. There is also no logical reason for it to be the truth. If they wanted to hire less they'd interview less. I can assure you that the interviewers have no quotas or other numbers to meet one way or another.

The logical reason(and I said " a possibility") was that the question was posed off data from 1 interview date. That 1 specific data point MIGHT have been during the transition.....since the invites had gone out several weeks/months prior.

Also, ever see somebody lose at roulette betting on red eight times in a row with a "double up to catch up" philosophy? Sometimes using 1 data point and extrapolating it out is quirky.

Default Scheduling hypothetical

So a friend of mine gets awarded a trip for which simulator training is required. Said friend has not yet completed, nor have they been scheduled for the required simulator training.
-What happens the day prior to the trip?
-Can the trip be broken up to exclude the portion that requires simulator training?
-Can they voluntarily attend simulator training prior to the trip if the opportunity is offered?
-Can they be forced to attend simulator training any time during the month since the training wasn’t pre-posted?
-Any PWA references? ie, does 23 k apply?

And I'm telling you it doesn't work that way. Please don't throw out baseless theories that may discourage people who are already dealing with a stressful time in their lives prepping for an interview.

This exactly! It just doesn't make sense. There is a near 0% chance they turn down otherwise qualified pilots instead of sending people into a pool or slowing the rate of interviews.

I think Juneau required special sims? Didn't we bring that back recently?

Oh, didn’t know that. Never been there. I figured anywhere we go would just be a special airport qual with a LCA or LVP.
