Always book a place with at least a 4.8 rating if you can. Generally the hosts are 'real', actually care and won't be slum lords. We still use it while traveling and are rarely disappointed. Just a little vetting and perusing other reviews usually does this trick.

Had a host cancel a booking because they sold the place.
Had a different host extend me the courtesy of a late cancellation with no penalties due to personal conflicts.
Kind of a cripe shoot. Not a problem with "Big Hotel"; Big Hotel doesn't really care about your feedback, but enough negative ratings (justified or not) for an AirBnB can cause real issues with future bookings.
You'll never get "points" for an AirBnB.
Pros and cons to both, I suppose.

Yes, in most situtations it seems that can solve it quickly. However, sometimes it takes a few rounds with them - took me working with them twice to get something fixed, then eventually the CPO setup another case and it was solved within 12 hours.

Known Sick Leave Bidding Strategy
Anyone have bidding advice for a known sick leave period? It has been shadowed, similar to an OE shadow period on my PBS calendar and my assumption is that I could use the same budding strategy…e.g. bid for as much credit as possible to touch those dates. Any other advice/hacks/tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Reserve rest Periods
Looking at my reserve rest periods I see 3 separate lines. The first and third are in black and the midle is in green. I am not sure what they mean but I think the green is a rest period at the end of a duty period and the black is your FAR 117 30 hour rest period.
Can anyone confirm or enlighten me on this?
Oh yeah - I was never notified of the first period- Retroactive rest? But not sure why its even there.
Thanks Scoop

Some of the rest may be automatic rest before a trip, after training, etc.

Saw a screenshot fromthe LAX CPO Newsletter that we are going to be flying to Naples (Already announced) but then it also said Melbourne and Brisbane. Was that an unintentional leak? I have not seen any announcement regarding two more cities in Australia.
