Keep the head warm and the rest will follow 40% of heat loss is from the head. Good stocking cap covering the ears and scarf or fask mask. Next, extremities, mittens over gloves and boots with air gap insulation. Lastly, ice fishing gear and beer, applicable to the upper midwset only.

Only if we had some sort of weather proof warm jacket to wear on walk arounds.

Not that anyone on the 4th floor does walk arounds in those conditions so they don’t care.

That's exactly why they took those jobs in the first place!

That and, off every weekend and holiday, and sleep in your own bed every night, unless a really sweet Greenie pops up and they need a landing!

That's been proven false. It's a comes from a poorly worded army study in the 1950s.

I bring black ski cap, gloves, scarf, heavy black thigh length coat, and cowboy boots (so the snow doesn’t get over the top of my normal dress shoes)….made that mistake as a newbie in CLE. 🤦‍♂️😢😢

Just says unlikely with no other difinitive study. I'll go with my northern experience of 40+ years and mentor you Southies. I've logged thousands of hours and have a big group of fellow seasoned winterites to back me up so... wear a hat and cover your face. That's it, that's all I got, consider yourself schooled. Now, can I get a 24 month extension on a condo in FL or AZ, I've earned it because my life above 40 degrees latitude was filled with pit falls and hardships you will never know. I desrve that!

If it requires a dare, I’m not licking it whether it’s frozen or not!

Unrelated question: I put a trip in for personal drop prior to the 0700 PCS run this morning. The trip is not showing up in qualified open time. What am I doing wrong?

I don’t think it’s relevant but I also listed it under drops in the pilot to pilot swap board….
