Hate to tell you this, but if/when this passes ICAO will change also. There won't be a forced flush to NB.
You haven’t though. Without using the new-hire-upgrade-fast-no-stagnation shtick…just like I asked JB…..tell us how a midrange 5000 seniority NB Captain WONT be stagnated when the WB guys are forced to bid NB and the 5000 ahead of us will now be here 2yrs longer.
go ahead, we’ll wait.

But at the end of the day, I don't care. None of you care that I had a mostly stagnant career and now want a couple extra years to recoup some money and enjoy my job. So tough luck. You'll get my seat when I'm done with it and not before. Then you'll probably get to go to 70 or later, and you'll understand then junior tries to kneecap you someday.

Well first of all, unlike 60-65, where most of them stayed, most aren't going to stay to 67. We have a lot of guys out on medical now, way more than before Age 65. So it will have less of an impact. Also, 65 happened when the economy was already backsliding and the airlines had quit hiring, which made the stagnation then worse. There's a crash coming but it won't be 2008 bad. The airlines will still need to hire for growth plans, it will just slow down.

Also what about the guys who have been brought up multiple times, the 5000ish crowd.. Funny thing I was looking at the seniority list to see who the most junior pre 9/11 hire is

The last pre 9/11 hire is 29 days older than me. I will be here less than a month past a pre 9/11 hire.
Tell me THEY haven't faced stagnation, and will again with 67. Pretty sure they were furloughed, run through the wringer, got "f'ed in the merger" (2008 hires are senior to them) and stagnated with 60 to 65.
But they are the same age as me, so it doens't count I guess. Or they were at another 121 carrier merged into us. So they arent' real (north/south doesn't matter) so they don't count.

OK then how about this:
I love my job. I know a lot of guys on here don't, and that's fine. But because you don't and want to leave doesn't mean I have no life. And since we have firmly established that you don't owe me anything and I don't owe you anything, if it passes I will stay as long as I am medically able or until I get tired of it whichever occurs first.
I am about to discover the finest ramen shop in all of Tokyo before the year is out. Life is pretty damned good.

Best Ramen - got to travel to Hokkaido. Shinkansen to Aomori then take the express to Hakodate, some of the best you'll ever have. You can do it in a day no problem. Enjoy it with a tasty Sapporo.

Stagnant career... You have said time and time again "juniors" stagnation pre-delta don't count so why should your stagnation pre-2014 count to over half the seniority list?

But I assure you Congress will, and not the way you hope. At least you'll get an extra few years of medical LOA pay. You can thank us later.

It really aggravates you that I won't engage you on that question doesn't it?
Such a lame debate tactic you guys use to ask inane questions then make a straw man argument that by refusing to answer your question it proves something. Lol. More signs of a failed educational system.
