That'd be news to me. Last I heard anything official was ~1,700 for 2024, with a bias toward the first 3-4 months (after which point, NH's won't be on the line for the summer). After that about 100/mo UFN.

If someone has different info to share, please do.

I heard 200/month for the 1qt, then slow down to 75-100 per month until the end of the yr.

BS’ Nov AE letter said that the plan is for “200 per month for the first half of 2024”

No one really knows for sure. We were told last year that by this time in 2023, the company was going to taper off hiring to ~100 a month, which obviously didn’t happen. It seems they keep pushing that goal right as demand has yet to subside.

The November AE memo said 200/mo through the first half of 2024. December’s says 200/mo in Q1 and does not mention subsequent months.

Maybe they expect to stop because that's when age 67 will be signed. #conspiracypost #trolling

Default trip rigs

I can't count on two hands the number of times I've been waiting for an arrival gate and someone in the cockpit will comment about how many dollars their adding to their pay per minute. I give a slightly confused congratulatory "hmph" thinking 75% of trips are built from a trip rig with credit and aren't paying actual block. I don't think it's earning an extra penny, but I've heard it enough times now that I'm starting to think maybe I've been wrong for years. No need to quote me the rigs, I have 'em down. But, Am I Crazy or are they?

entirely depends on the trip credit , EDP pay, etc

if there’s any credit in the rotation, you probably aren’t earning anything extra.

but the rotation updates with actual times as they occur, so check it a few minutes after acars sends the block in message and see.

Exactly. Except, of course, if you are waiting for a gate on the last leg of a rotation in which the ttl pay for the rotation is based off trip rig. In that case (and worst case scenario) your ttl time for the rotation will increase 1 minute for every 3.5 minutes that you wait for a gate until you eat up all of your trip rig credit and then it would become a 1:1 while waiting.
