Heres a new one. On my sked now: Trip A 25-28DEC trip that has 30 hr layover and a redeye at end that releases to base at 0550 on 28DEC. PBS assigned another trip that reports 28DEC at 1745 thru 1950 31DEC.
Been trying to swap that second trip with one that reports at 0800 29DEC and goes til 0900 01Jan (spill trip). Rules auditor says no problem, but hasn't gone through Swap w Pot, I'm assuming because the computer doesn't consider the fact that even though trip A ends in redeye that returns to base at 0520 on 28DEC, the fact that the second trip left on that same day is blocking it's swap? Is there any block on swapping to carryover trips until after jan bids come out? TIA....

If 28DEC is negative, your swap will be blocked. It doesn't look at your whole schedule, just the trips to be added and trips to be dropped. So, in this case, you're dropping 28 (negative) and adding 01Jan (positive). You MIGHT have a chance to swap out of 28 once January schedules are posted if Jan1 is more negative than 28Dec

I have a line in December and want to bid reserve in January. I want to bid on call days 1-8 January and the WS a trip that flies into these days to knock out some on call days. I assume that would work - any issues with this? IIRC any days I fly into my reserve month just count as on call days with credit counting toward filling me up for January.
