Some of those peers also wear their uniform coat and hat year round on international trips for the same money. You gonna do that too? Gonna make the FO do it too?
IOW...you will follow only the rules(suggestions/FOM guidelines) you want to follow?
Not trying to argue per se....just trying to gain insight as to what rules need to be followed, which can be ignored, and how does one decide which is which.

Personally, I draw the line at performing an unpaid marketing duty, outside of both the PWA and the industry-accepted scope of an airline pilot’s duties.

Come on James, you know D1 is gone before you get the door opened. You also fly solely INt'l, so you have to wait on the FAs anyway. What else you going to do? These cats flying NBs are busting it. Turn a 321/73/75-300 in 45 minutes, going from F to T, yeah they do that - quite frequently. Can't blame them for bolting out the door ASAP. I surely don't. We are a different airline than the NBs

CBreezy,
Can you explain your reason's for refusing to say goodby at the door because, "It's not my job , I am disrespected by management, I will hurt their NPS to show my dismay"
and....
"I hand out cards, it's all about the customer and NPS, good goes around"?
Just seems like there isn't a logical nexus between your actions. Seems as if you shoud do both ....OR... neither. Might as well include the hat in the civil disobedience in an attempt to achieve your ends.

Kind of like the goofballs coming to the cockpit pretending their arent videoing us, asking for cards so they can post us on the internet and get attention on ticktockinstaface. If only these kids could put as much effort into getting a job as they put into attention seeking these days.

i have a big career decision to make. I am trying to get all the infomation so I can make the right decision for me and my family if I should leave where I am at and take the CJO. Right now its leaning towards yes, but I want to make sure
Can someone please tell me the current hire dates for the plug in the left seat on 320 and 737 in LAX and ATL?

6/2022 for the 737 and 1/2022 for 320 in LAX My guess is it will take someone hired today 6-7 years to hold either in LAX unless LAX grows significantly or Delta in general grows significantly.

Better question is what is that seniority number. If the plug is 14,000, and you are 17,000 when hired (we are almost there), and we have between 500-600/year retirements, there’s the real math you need to worry about. Obviously growth and fleet plans not withstanding.
