It's not outrage. Where do you get that. I'd just rather be going to get something to eat, talking to my spouse or getting to the next gate.

No one is putting a phone in your face so close that you have to push it out. No one is going to post a respectful interaction on tiktok. Even if the cards aren't a thing, that individual would still be filming and there is literally nothing you can do to prevent it. Might as well learn to be boring.

Come on James, you know D1 is gone before you get the door opened. You also fly solely INt'l, so you have to wait on the FAs anyway. What else you going to do? These cats flying NBs are busting it. Turn a 321/73/75-300 in 45 minutes, going from F to T, yeah they do that - quite frequently. Can't blame them for bolting out the door ASAP. I surely don't. We are a different airline than the NBs

Handing out the plane cards is not my job. My job is to safely bring my passengers and crew from point A to point B. Nothing more. I've never had an adult ask me for a card, only the kids (and that is rare too). I rarely carry them anymore, same as wings. Again - not my job. Tour of the cockpit, sitting in the left seat with the hat on for a picture for kid(s) for mom/dad - yeah I'll do that all day long. Not really caring about the cards or wings. Not my job.
You probably write out cards too don't you?

I’ll do what my peers at UA and AA do for the same money — fly the people safely and professionally from point A to point B, perform the shutdown / secure checklists as necessary, then deplane and go on with my day.

No outrage here either. Management’s attempt to require us to stay on board, saying goodbye, until the last passenger deplanes simply falls outside of the industry-standard scope of an airline pilot’s job.

IOW...you will follow only the rules(suggestions/FOM guidelines) you want to follow?
Not trying to argue per se....just trying to gain insight as to what rules need to be followed, which can be ignored, and how does one decide which is which.
