Correct. Three days of CQ are no different than three on call days. The only reason CQ is in the spreadsheet at all is because it boosts the pay above the reserve guarantee. In fact if you also use John's Reserve Line Simulator (another great spreadsheet) it even specifically states "CQ does not count against X days."

Ya think retro for retirees will face any headwinds from ALPA negotiators because ALPA MAY not be able to get their 1.8% on the retiree retro payout?

From ALPA's perspective(follow the $$$), if it paid out as a signing bonus ALPA gets their cut..... yes, I know it sounds cynical, and I'm not castigating ALPA by any means, but after safety, $$$ comes into play somewhere in the ALPA calculus.

Hopefully, I'm wrong

Money has to be figured somewhere, but it feels like the PR angle on the agreement would be more appealing to the union.

I’m trying to put myself in the shoes of a member of the MEC or the negotiating committee. In no way whatsoever am I concerned about increasing the take for ALPA. It’s not like the budget is hurting and clearly I wouldn’t get any personal cut myself.

Call my naïve, but I think you’re wrong. I hope you’re wrong.

Yes...as a self avowed cynic....I try to see all sides of an issue and this one possibility popped into my head during my morning cathartic run. Just one of many possibilities in the mix since we ARE discussing RETRO...something that hasn't been publicly broached by ALPA.

I don't lose any sleep over it, I can't control it...just musing by me.

Anyone know who to email if your ID badge is peeling? The lamination is starting to peel back on the front.

This I completely agree with...

Well, you’re wrong, but don’t take my word for it. Only the Negotiating Committee can call a TA. I think you should call Eric Criswell and ask him if dues exposure is even a tertiary concern for him. While you’re there, ask him how many pilot labor groups have gotten full retro this far out from the amendable date.

Q: So if you retired early, do you expect a bump up from the rates when the VEOP was accepted?

Usually, bonuses are $ to incentivize the voters to vote yes.
