You'd be surprised. Sometimes people need time to fill up their scheduled, or get to the ALV so their GS pays double. Or they needed to drop a nice trip because of a family conflict and they need anything to fill their month up.

You'd also be surprised by the number of people who use the swap board to work themselves above ALV+15 up to FAR limits. I can't imagine working that much every month, but thankful when they take my trips off my line. Since we were left out in the rain on 1/2 days trips, it's the only way I can trip lengths that I actually want to fly.

Yup. I've had 3 and 4 day trips picked up off the swap board in less than an hour. It just depends on how much open time there is.

I’ve grabbed stuff off the swap board before. When staffing is hefty and unlikely to get a GS near the bottom, it’s a few extra dollars, and I have grabbed trips with nice overnights I wouldn’t normally hold right away. Exception rather than rule, but it works for me.

Sorry to interject. I know this has been answered before but i can't seem to find it with the search function. How would someone go about getting the PBS Wide Report from last December in a particular category? TIA

I agree, sometimes people will pick stuff up. But, at least in my BES, that’s not always the case. I’m probably running around 10:1

I believe you can get them via the Scheduling and/or PBS committees via email or 800-USA-ALPA. I have not seen anything other than the Bid Packages on the DALPA website though.

Some posters here may have personal archives, and you might get lucky if you post the category here.

Thanks Fangs, I'll give it a shot

Is it possible to use blanket criteria for swap-with-pot? I only see it for WS/GS/YS, which would require a drop or open footprint on my schedule prior to the pickup being legal.

Not in the same way or with the same criteria as we have available in the WS/GS/YS templates.

What you can do on the swap with the pot form is place a *1, *2, *3, *4, *5, etc. in place of a rotation number for the rotation to be added. That will tell PCS to swap for ANY 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 day trip on that date.
