Lots of thrust, very little vector in this post. What specifically should be done, legally, by the union? And I find your hatred of DH pretty rich. You claim that he's bitter because he's a north guy who got hosed in the merger but somehow he's also pro-company and teaming up with C44 (the most RD of all delta pilots) to get screwed more?
Also, the random ad hominem about half this pilot group, most of which has dealt with regional airline management somehow being naively complicit in....returning this company to the poor working conditions of their former employer they just left?
But hey. It wouldn't be an anti-DALPA post without someone bringing up Lee Moak, for some reason. All we need in our DPA bingo card is the "Sane email" and the black shirts to really complete the line.

Another classic CB soundbite that feels good to say, but in reality, means nothing. This is like watching MS. NBC. But by all means keep that post count going. I'm sure we're all very impressed.
Maybe we should elect MEC chairman based on who has the highest APC post count in the Delta forum. CB for MEC chair!

Disagree. It might have been slightly more disruptive but they had carte blanche to use 23m7 and they were using it liberally without any real consequences. Maybe 1/3 of the penalty was being recovered. And pilots who should have been getting double pay were often getting nothing because of all the people fishing for batch sizes and m7 pay. A not insignificant amount of people were being harmed. Getting rid of batch sizes stopped the absurd practice of calling to get IA that was going on.

They made us change our agreement by violating our PWA so egregiously that we didn’t have a choice. Bad precedent was set. Now we’re seeing them try same strategy on other sections all at same time.

Fixing the 23M7 debacle for the company brought both numbers down, saving the company millions and eliminating operational issues. The MEC squandered millions of dollars in contractual leverage by giving it away. Management successfully pulled off a terrific gaslighting job.
It’s also important to remember that not EVERY trip being covered had a rogue pilot waiting in the shadows to call scheduling and snipe the trip out of seniority. It was not uncommon to see trip coverage take up to 24 hours previously. Today, the vast majority of premium trips are covered in under 1 hour. We streamlined the operation massively, saving the company millions, at no cost to them.
