New hire question: Is there a good way to get a feel for how much reserves on a certain fleet are getting converted/called?

Bid the position in an AE and try not to get called out.

or

You could look up the daily trip coverage for each BES (base, equip, seat) and also look at Reserve Avail List for each BES. Both of those can be found under the scheduling tab in iCrew. Other than talking with friends, this is the most black and white way to see real time how things are going.

Like Jaww said, take a look at the category’s “Reserve Availability List” in iCrew, either from the main page, or the “Schedules”>“Open Time Menu”. The total credit for the month will give you an aggregated feel for how much credit on average folks are accumulating. Obviously, it’s most useful at/near the end of a month, to control for people who might have bid a larger chunk of X-days in the front of a month, or similar aberrations. Don’t look at any individual, look for an average of all. Anyone picking up a GS or two will have a lower credit as a result and will skew the results to the “not used much” side of the spectrum. Then compare across categories. Good luck.

What’s the latest for a trip with the first leg cancelled? I have this next month but have not seen it since early Covid - is this a 23k situation or does not need an IROP?

Thanks Scoop

They'll 23k it probably a week out. A cancelled flight is an IROP

Default Vacation move-up

I’ve got one week of vacation beginning in Nov (26) and ending in Dec (02). Can I “Vacation Move-Up” or “Slide” that whole vacation into December?

You can only slide the portion of the vacation that lies within the bid month. If there are weeks available, move up should work.
