It was the same on the way back, except they had wait-times (2hr+). Kind of makes that 'perk' worthless. Apparently we needed to reserve a spot in the lounge days or more in advance to be able to actually use it.

Talk about overcrowded lounges. Went on an int'l trip recently (bought tickets) and we have some fancy cc that gives access to one of the non-Skyteam lounges. We tried to go in and they told us "we're full". We asked "How long until we can go in?", their response was "we don't have a set waiting time, we can't tell you how long it will be."

They should end lounge access via credit card perks. Once people realized they could get lounge access for a few hundred bucks per year vs thousands, it was all over.

I agree, that’s by far the biggest driver of overcrowding…but Amex gives us billions, so that’s not going to happen.
. It's like employees barely had a noticeable effect
