I guess reading and comprehension is not your strong suit. I don't care what the company posts on the company web page or what causes they support. I do care about all of you guys who sit around all day finding petty things to ***** about instead of talking about worthwhile problems that we could fix. Like our union giving away sections of the contract and telling us to get over it.

Edit: and for the record I agree, Delta should have paid homage to July 4th seeing as they seem to be in the habit of randomly supporting/acknowledging lots of other random things. It would have been an easy win for them.

Why is it important? Why are some seemingly arbitrary lines that you happened by chance to be born in so important to you?

Why is any holiday important - to you? If you don't care about hollandaise why ask ?
It's been polled, our Nations Birthday is one of the most important holidays to a large majority of Americans. It's a day color blind and doesn't care what pronouns you use. It's for ALL of us - Americans.

I served. I have friends that died serving. Zip for Memorial Day. Zip for today. I don’t need it for me, truly. But I find it infuriating that nobody gives a hoot for a day we should be celebrating to bring us together. Shocking nobody cares. Disgusting really. Guess I’m a whacko patriotic type. I try to live and let live yet I perceive people like me, who are proud of our nation and want to move beyond our faults, are seen as weirdos and problematic. Sad.

(the foreign outstation I was at today had a very nice Independence Day thing going; they made a point to wish everyone a happy 4th and provided some small candies, lots of decorations, etc)
