I did this last month, I put one IVD on the last day of a 3 day and 1 IVD on the first off day after it (2 consecutive days). Worked like a charm.

Up to six day worth of vacation I guess…. Maybe this was the camel’s nose under the tent in regards to offering us more days. However, they are still hard “no fly” days though, so not a true sale. I would have been fine with keeping it at 2 uses and 4 ivds though. I would prefer an increase in uses to an increase in total ivds personally.

Thats exactly what it means. Deferred implementation until the Jul bid period. First possible use is (expected to be) the 0700 PCS run on the 20th (for Jul).

I’m sure there’s some way to find it, but does anybody have a rough category percentage needed to hold 3 consecutive weeks of vacay in the summer? No specific dates or holidays just 3 weeks off when the kids are off. TIA.

How senior to get a week of vacation in late May? Over memorial day, but didn't know if the new holiday pay (combined with the fact that schools here don't get out until June) might make it a popular time to be at work.

One thing that’s nice is that you can slide any vacation days in a given bid period anywhere else in the bid period as long as you are not subject to a coverage award (forced working on short days). So even if you don’t get the exact week off you want you still have a good shot at moving. With the new holiday pay I think it will be easier to avoid coverage awards on holidays as people bid to work for the extra pay.
