Yeah I saw that too...and was thinking, that's cool that the junior pilots all got lines, reserve must have gone senior. And then I started scrolling, ok I guess reserve went pretty senior, err really senior, then, wait where did all the reserve lines go!? Lines for everyone, no one has to sit reserve anymore!

They just cover it from other bases. I’d guess at least 50% of the reserve assignments on the 73A side in DTW this month we’re to cover ATL trips.
Not sure why but they must prefer doing that rather than leveling the flying a little better pre month.

I want to use a single PB day to drop day 1 of a trip with insufficient reserve coverage. From reading the scheduling alerts I see that I have a couple of options available - putting my APD on the last day of the trip or putting in a PD for the trip and someone picking it up as a "Q" trip. I am not considering IVD use for this trip.
I think I understand the mechanics but am looking for some real world feedback. If the trip drops with either mechanism is the PB day application pretty much automatic upon completion of the smart sheet? What concerns me is this exact verbiage from the scheduling alert : ".......to request that a specified number of PB days be applied to available days of the rotation as TOFF days."
I guess my question is can the "request" be denied? Seems like its optional although I am pretty sure its not.
Some folks have actually PM'd me some good info on this subject (thanks Fellas ) but I was just hoping to hear from some folks that have put it to use recently.
Thanks Scoop

Won't be denied. I've never had the smart sheet take more than 24hrs to post correctly on my schedule.

Therefore, your March time card will pay out the March stuff in your April 15th check and your April time card will pay out the April 1st remainder on May 15th.

The carryover credit part of the trip will post and pay on your APR timecard. That's one reason they call it "carryover" credit.

Trying to non-rev with the wife tomorrow and the DAL flights are pretty full. Is it worth it to buy a ZED on American as a back-up? No charge if you don't use the ZED - is that correct? Any other lessons learned on using a ZED?
Thanks Scoop
